Dear Ron,
I don't have the words to
say all I want in regards to what you have meant to Jenny and me. Saying
thank you seems insufficient. Your talent as a musician is top notch and
you have done an extraordinary job of teaching, but also much more. . .
You've shared some of your own struggles you had as a kid her age and
how you handled them through your music. You've been a wonderful
encourager when she needed it. You are a great teacher and have
been such a positive role model. Thank you for all you've done.
Sincerely,
Kathy Ashley
Hello Ron,
I just want to take a moment to say thank you for those five years of
music lessons. Katia came to your class room not knowing how to hold a
flute and now she’s part of the Evergreen Marching Band. She loved your
lessons so much that she even wanted to learn another instrument-
saxophone. She plays in jazz band in Middle School.
I
really appreciate your dedication to what you do, you not only taught
her to play, but made sure she had the right set of mind and right
attitude for music. Her everyday practice became part of her life, she
loves her music. Thank you for everything, I think we are very blessed
to have you all those years.

With Ron's
guidance, I took my old tenor sax out of mothballs more
than eight years ago and have been playing it since. Ron
has taught me many things about playing music including
reading and theory, but I have most appreciated his
approach to practice. Ron understands the time
constraints an adult faces, so he recommends consistent
practice sessions but does not pressure his students to
meet time goals.
With Ron's
coaching I was able to meet my personal goal of playing
with a great local marching band. I believe that I am on
my way to meeting other music goals, including enjoying
my tenor sax for the rest of my life - and I have Ron to
thank for this.

I highly recommend
Ron Barnes for music instruction. I am not a beginner, and am
highly pleased with his knowledge of music theory. He presents
advanced subject manner in a relaxed and easy to understand way.
He is honest and encouraging, and has helped me to realize I do
in fact have "an ear", but it remained rusty and untrained as I
relied solely on reading music. And...wow...now my voice "works"
too!! Great teacher!

Ron Barnes has been my
daughter's flute teacher for three years. We have been extremely happy
with him and wouldn't consider changing. Right from the beginning, Ron
emphasized proper posture and finger placement, both extremely critical
to playing the flute successfully. My daughter, who is only twelve, now
plays with high school musicians. Although she has progressed so far,
Ron still has much more to teach her. He is an amazing musician himself,
so there is still lots of room for growth with him as her teacher. I
also need to mention how good he is with kids. He's fun and engaging,
and imparts his knowledge in a way that makes the lesson a wonderful
experience.

Ron,
Thank you so much for your inspiration, talent and God given gift of
music. Your support for Daniel these past years has been a true blessing. He has just one more year in high
school and he will have accomplished a wonderful journey in music. A big part of
that is thanks to you. You have
helped him so much with his confidence. It’s
nice to know that Dan has enjoyed your friendship and talent.

I
want you to know that Ashley really enjoys her lessons and you have already
taught her so much in the short time that she has been your student.
Thank you,
Michelle R.
Dear Mr. Barnes,

You are funny, nice, smart and generous.
